Commissioned pieces

What you need to know

If you have gone through my website and loved what you've seen, but have realized the thing you really want may not be made yet, then you're in the right place. Once you read through this page, and soak up inspiration from the photos below, you will be prepared to create something new with me!

Here's what will happen:

  1. Read through this timeline to get an idea of the overall process, and then check the photos below of past commissioned pieces I have done. They might help inspire you and solidify your vision.
  2. In the form below, type up your idea, including your overall vision for the piece.
    • If you're requesting the topography of a new country or province, let me know if you want it done in realistic colors, or a unique palette.
    • If you're requesting an abstract piece, or otherwise, include at least one descriptive word for the emotion you want in the piece.
    • If you know the size/ratio you want, put that in there too!

  3. Send that off to me, and hopefully you will get a response back within 48 hours. During that time I will research, brainstorm, and calculate how difficult it will be for me to make your vision come to life. I charge an upfront fee for custom orders that is dependent on the level of challenge, and necessary time involvement, The fee ranges from $90-150. When I've wrapped my mind around your hopes and dreams, I will respond to your email with my estimated quote, and the timeframe in which I will work on your painting (depending on how many people are in line in front of you!)
  4. If you agree to the amount, I will provide you a way to pay that specific commission fee. When your payment has gone through, your painting will officially be added to my queue. Your payment secures your spot in line.
  5. When the time has come for me to work on your painting, I will keep you updated on the process every step of the way. If during this process you feel like we are not going in the correct direction, or it is unfeasible to create the image you have in your head, you may be eligible for a 50% refund of that commission fee. This is something we can discuss at that time, since we will be communicating back and forth.
  6. Once I have created your piece and you agree that it is absolutely perfect, I will create a unique listing for you to purchase the piece, in whatever size and material we have discussed.
  7. Lastly, I ship you your artwork, you open it, cry happy tears, and cherish it on your wall for generations to come. That is my hope and aim!

So, email me your idea, and let's chat! If you have any questions or confusions, email me those too!
I'm happy to help because I love creating together with my clients.

Commissioned Artwork

Here are some of the incredible ideas my clients have commissioned from me.
As you set out to discover what you would like to create together, glean inspiration from the creativity of these requests, as I have!

This client came to me requesting a flower in my unique fluid technique. She's a florist, so it meant a lot to her, but I had no idea if I would be able to do it. I'm really glad I went for it because we both loved the result.
And now I'm wondering if there may just be a botanical collection in the future.

Greece Topography Print

Want a topography map of your own country, or a country you'd love to visit? This piece was requested by someone preparing for a humanitarian aid trip to Greece. I painted this for her to sell as a fundraiser to cover her costs, and one for her to keep as well. We wanted to capture the blues and hues of the water, even though we only represented the land masses.

Hamilton Quote

I knew it was only a matter of time until I recieved a request like this. My client and her family love the Broadway 'Hamilton', and with both sons preparing to leave the nest, she felt this quote summed up her feelings toward them. She picked her color scheme and font styles, and now this beautiful piece is hanging proudly in their home.

This piece was commissioned by Steltenkamp Fine Art Gallery in Winter Springs, Florida. The piece needed to be emotional and abstract, loosely inspired by the feeling of being pulled out to sea with the tide.

The Great Geysir

Inspired by a drone image he captured, Federico Barra commissioned this piece. We worked together to capture the grandeur of the geyser, and the textures of the surrounding landscape. I hope this project will fuel many more collaborations with drone and aerial photographers!

Abstract Map of
Cape Canaveral Area

I love the outcome of this unique request. This client wanted a map of the area around their home, but they wanted the focus to be on the water depths mostly, with hints at the land topography. I decided to do the land in a gold and cream color scheme, so the water would really pop. The client absolutely loves it, and can point out and name every river and lake. Such a special piece.

What slice of the earth would you choose?

australian opal

Commissioned by a client for her husband, the goal was to create a fire opal in the shape of Australia. I never would have guessed this medium would be able to so incredibly emulate the textures and colors of this terrific stone. My client even ran the painting by a friend of hers who is an opal expert, and it was approved with flying colors. I cannot wait to see what new gemstone pieces are inspired by the success of this one!
